The Cumbria Pole Art newsletter delivers one email each week with pole dancing technique breakdowns, equipment guidance and training ideas you can use straight away. You'll receive practical explanations written for people training at home or attending studio sessions.

What arrives in your inbox

Each message focuses on a single question: how a move works, why grip matters for a specific technique, or which adjustment helps when something isn't landing. The format stays consistent—short explanations with step-by-step breakdowns where they're useful.

Recent editions have covered hand positioning for the carousel spin, preventing shoulder strain during climbs, and choosing between silicone and powder grip aids. The content assumes you're already training and want detailed answers, not beginner reassurance.

How often messages are sent

One email lands every seven days, sent on the same weekday each time. There are no promotional messages, product launches or partner offers between the weekly editions. If you're away or mid-session when it arrives, the archive link at the foot of each message lets you catch up later.

Managing your subscription

The confirmation email you receive after subscribing contains two links: one opens your subscription preferences, where you can change your email address; the other unsubscribes you immediately, with no follow-up required. Both actions take effect within minutes.

Your email address is stored solely for sending the newsletter. It is not shared with third parties, added to other lists or used for tracking which links you open. The privacy policy at the foot of this page explains data retention in full.

What the newsletter does not cover

Each edition stays within pole dancing technique, training and equipment. You will not receive studio recommendations, event listings, instructor profiles or sponsored content. The writing remains focused on the mechanical and physical side of pole work—what happens when you shift weight, change hand placement or adjust pole mode.

While you're here, the guide on choosing pole diameter explains how the two standard sizes affect grip and rotation. If you're setting up at home, how to start pole dancing at home walks through ceiling height, pole mode and flooring in four steps. For session-level problems, what to do when your hands sweat on the pole covers mid-session fixes that don't require a trip to the shop.
